Carla QueirozLesson: Aplicação de catalisadores

About: Graduated in Chemistry in the Federal University of Bahia (2003), she obtained a master's degree in Chemical Engineering from the State University of Campinas - UNICAMP (2014), where she worked with ruthenium catalysts supported on activated carbon for the hydrogenolysis of sugars obtained from sugarcane bagasse biomass, mainly producing ethylene glycol and propylene glycol using a trickle-bed reactor. She earned her Ph.D. from IPEN - Institute of Energy and Nuclear Research, associated with the University of São Paulo (2020), focusing on the preparation of Pt/CeO2 catalysts via alcohol reduction method for the preferential oxidation of carbon monoxide under hydrogen-rich streams (CO-PROX). She has been working in catalysis for about 18 years, developing NiMo and CoMo catalysts for hydrotreating (HDT), hydrodesulfurization (HDS), and hydrodenitrogenation (HDN) reactions, as well as ex-situ catalyst regeneration for hydrotreating and selective hydrogenation reactions. She is currently the manager of the Catalyst Development Technical Center at Clariant Brazil, located in Suzano, SP, Brazil.
