Dra. Carla Herrera is an assistant professor of physical chemistry department at University of Concepcion. She earned her PhD degree in the laboratory of Catalytic Materials of the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. She is review editor for Frontiers in chemistry and editorial Board of Nanoscience. Her research focus is centered in the catalytic conversion of biomass model molecules towards add-value chemicals through catalytic process such as hydrogenation and partial oxidation reactions over metal-carbon hybrid catalysts.
